This week marks ten years since I began this journey as a hairstylist and business owner here in Vista.
What started as a leap of faith has turned into one of the most meaningful chapters of my life.
A Milestone I Don’t Take for Granted
Ten years is a long time to do anything. I want to stop for a moment and say out loud how I got here, and who got me here.
Starting Over
When I first arrived in this country, I never imagined I would make such a professional and personal transformation.
Hairstyling is my second career. Choosing it was not easy, but it became one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
Like many stories, mine started with no clients and no guarantees. Just faith, passion and a dream.

I Didn’t Build This Alone
This journey would not have been possible without the support of my family, my son’s father and the people who believed in me.
And above all, God, who has guided me every step of the way.
Because of that foundation, I’m here today.
Then You Started Sitting in My Chair
To many, this may look like just a hair salon. For me, and for so many of my clients, it is much more.
This space has become a place of connection, a place of trust and a place where stories are shared.
Every client who sits in my chair brings their joys, their worries and their life experiences. In return, I give a piece of my heart through my work.
More Than Hair
Over the years I have witnessed something truly special. Many women come in for more than a service. They come for a new beginning.
Sometimes it is a fresh haircut after a life change. Sometimes it is a new color at the start of a new chapter. Sometimes it is a moment of self-care during a difficult time.
Ten years behind the chair at Gray’s Hair Studio in Vista, California.
Thank You for Being Part of Gray’s
To every client who has trusted me, sat in my chair, referred a friend or supported my journey: thank you. Truly.
Whether you have been with me since the beginning or found Gray’s Hair Studio recently, you are part of this story.

Highlights
How Often Should You Get Highlights?
Fresh highlights can bring brightness, contrast and dimension back into your hair — but that doesn’t mean everyone needs the same touch-up schedule.
How often you refresh them depends on the look you want, how your color grows out and how much maintenance fits your routine.

Balayage vs. Highlights: Which Is Right for You?
Both can create brightness and dimension, but they don’t always create the same result.
Learn how balayage and highlights differ — and what to consider when deciding which approach better fits your hair and maintenance preferences.
